CTET Exam 2011, Central Teacher Eligibility Test by CBSE 2011

CBSE or the Central Board of Secondary Education is the government level which caters to the education system at the secondary level of education. It sets off the parameters for a universal system of education throughout Indian schools.

CBSE came in to existence not directly covering the entire country but it all started from the state of Uttar Pradesh in which the first ever board of education was setup i.e. the Uttar Pradesh Board of High School and Intermediate Education in 1921.the central India along with Gwalior and Rajputana were under its jurisdiction. Late the Government of India regularized it to the “Board of High School & Intermediate Education, Rajputana” which added cities of Ajmer, Merwara to the existing ones.

Central Teacher Eligibility Test by CBSE 2011 ( CTET Exam 2011 ) Detials are given below:

Cost of CTET application form and Information bulletin

i) For General/OBC candidates Rs.500/-
ii) For SC/ST/Differently abled candidates Rs.25/-

Important Dates:

1) Apply Online from 8 April 2011 (8-4-2011)
2) Sale of CTET Bulletin and Application Form – 20 April 2011 to 10 May 2011
3) Last date for submission of application form – 15 May 2011 (both online and offline)
4) Date of Exam: 26 June 2011 (26-6-2011) – 1. Paper I – 9.30 – 11 am, 2. Paper II – 12.30 pm to 2 pm

For people living in remote areas, last date for receipt of Application form is 22.05.2011

Date of Examination:

Paper-I : 26.06.2011 9:30 to 11.00 hrs
Paper-II : 26.06.2011 12:30 to 14.00 hrs

Candidates can apply both online and offline.
Pattern of Examination:

The CTET examination will be of objective type multiple choice questions (MCQs). There will be no negative marking.

There will be 2 papers of CTET
i) Paper I will be for a person who intenda to be a teacher for classes I to V
ii) Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII
Note: A person who intends to be a teacher for both levels will have to appear in both the papers.
